Designing and delivering scalable rider-platform services for high-throughput, low-latency ride lifecycle operations.

• Led the migration of the Job Allocation engine from Java to Go, significantly reducing infrastructure costs and improving concurrent request handling and system throughput.
• Built scalable rider-platform services in Java (Spring Boot) and Go (Clean Architecture), using Kafka/SQS for event-driven workflows, PostgreSQL/MongoDB/Redis for data handling, and AWS (API Gateway, AppSync, Batch, S3) to support high-throughput, low-latency delivery operations.
• Contributed to building the new Express delivery service, including real-time support chat between riders and consumers.
• Built an Express Pricing Management web app (Next.js) with a Spring Boot backend for bulk Excel uploads and validation, keeping pricing data accurate and consistent.
• Developed a real-time Rider Map and Dynamic Heatmap using polygon-based geospatial data, helping operations rebalance fleet distribution across high-demand zones.
• Built a Virtual Rider dashboard (Next.js) that lets Customer Service resolve delivery exceptions and reassign riders, reducing failed deliveries.
• Automated Proof-of-Delivery image delivery to customers, improving transparency and reducing dispute resolution time.

Internship, then part-time and full-time on the backend team behind Dek-D's novel and webtoon platforms.

• Migrated the Mail, Report and Notification services from Node.js to Go.
• Upgraded Elasticsearch from v1.7 to v8.0.1 and refactored the existing queries.
• Developed the Core API for the Novel Platform using PHP, Go, TypeScript and GraphQL, backed by MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Redis and Memcached.
• Built a URL shortener service (Go, Redis, MongoDB) with Prometheus click analytics.
• Implemented encrypted file storage on Huawei OBS and backend storage APIs for the Webtoon Platform, handling large comic image files.
• Implemented QR code–based login using PHP, Redis and MongoDB.
